Trade Your Books:

We gladly offer store credit for books we can resell. For books we can use we offer half of fair market value in store credit, which can be used toward one half of your purchase in the store. The other half can be paid with cash or credit card.

We only accept books we can sell. Books must be in good or better condition (no stains, tears, damaged/wrinkled pages, cracked spines, smoky or musty odors or excessive wear). Quantity on hand and general salability are also considered.

You are welcome to bring books in for consideration for store credit any time during regular business hours. We do ask, if you are bringing in a large quantity that you call first, as it can take time to go through a large lot of books.

 We do not accept old text books, Readers Digest Condensed Books, car repair manuals, most computer how-to books, series romance, old encyclopedia sets or magazines.

Sell Your Books:

Unfortunately, we are not able to pay cash for most books, but do occasionally consider purchasing books for cash. When buying books, we are looking for books that are special in some way: vintage, collectible, antiquarian, hard to find, etc. If you think you might have books of this type, and would like to inquire about selling them, please call the store during regular business hours (503.249.0344). If we think you might have books we would consider purchasing, we will schedule a time for you to bring them in.

We also buy large lots and estates on occasion. Please call the store to discuss your book collection.
